St. Charles Memorial Gardens provides all honorably discharged veterans with a free grave space or an allowance towards other memorialization for families choosing cremation or upgraded options. What makes our Veteran options unique is that a Veteran’s spouse and other family members may reserve grave spaces alongside their loved one.
By choosing St. Charles Memorial Gardens, a veteran can be buried in his/her own community providing a local opportunity for family, friends, and neighbors to pay their respects and remember a life well-lived. If you would like to talk with a staff member to make arrangements, please call us at 636-946-6935.
Our first Veteran's garden, The Field of Honor, is beautifully marked by its main feature, a bronze eagle atop a granite column seated on a five-pointed star. At each star point is an emblem for each of our country’s branches of service. It is the only Veterans Field of Honor in St. Charles County dedicated solely to veterans and their families.
We are always happy to arrange for veteran honors and benefits. You can find out more about veterans benefits at www.va.gov.
We also host the St. Louis area’s 2nd largest Memorial Remembrance Service on Memorial Day Weekend that pays honor and tribute to area veterans. It includes a roll call to the departed, special music, and is conducted by the Memorial Services Committee of Missouri. Our staff places a flag on the grave of every Veteran buried here that week.
